Senior Simulator Operator

The Senior Simulator Operator is responsible for the operational readiness, maintenance and care of the Flight Simulator and designated work space as allotted by the government in addition to other duties specific to the Flight simulator. The ideal candidate for this position will provide Low Observable (LO) airborne Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) simulator support to real-world operations, training, and exercises. This exciting opportunity will also create, modify, and manage Global Positioning System (GPS) mapping tiles and targets for virtual landscaping and sensor targeting requirements. If you have supported the RQ 170, F 117, F-22 or B 2 aircraft apply today! **Essential Duties and Responsibilities** Duties include, but not limited to: + Create, modify, and manage GPS-mapping tiles and targets for virtual landscaping and sensor targeting requirements. + Create and modify simulation scenarios using Extended Air Defense Simulator (EADSIM), or current simulation tools, to provide high-fidelity training for RQ-170 crews. + Operate and manage simulators for training and test purposes. To include providing white force and external injects to scenarios. + Liaise with the System Program Office (SPO), HHQ staff, other DoD organizations, and mission planning experts to remain current on LO ISR system capabilities, developments and initiatives in order to best advise unit leadership, tacticians, test directors, program managers and mission planners on policies, positions, plans and execution. + Provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) support to unit-led LO ISR related exercises, tests, experimentation and table top events contributing to the sustainment and modernization of LO ISR assets and associated infrastructure. + Support mission planners with Order of Battle information from the simulation scenarios and assist with the building of mission plans. **Requirements** **Minimum Requirements** **Knowledge and Skills** The required skills and knowledge include: + Possess experience with Air Defense Systems, Electronic Warfare and other national, international and theater-level threat system capabilities, developments and initiatives as they pertain to mission planning. + Possess demonstrated operator experience with airborne LO mission planning software. + LO operational experience through direct support, test or training environments within the last two years. The minimum years of related experience required: + Possess a minimum of four and a half (4.5) years of experience (prefer up to 6 years) mission planning and utilizing mission planning systems for LO weapon systems to include RQ-170, B-2, F-117, F-22, or equivalent DoD weapon system mission planning experience within the last two years (2). **Education** The minimum level of education required is: + High school diploma **Other Qualifications** Outside of the above, other certifications, licenses, or clearances include: + Must be a US Citizen + Must possess an active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance **Special Note** The position is contingent upon candidate’s ability to meet physical and medical requirements as needed by the position; including compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local jurisdictional requirements. Salary at MAG Aerospace is determined by various factors including but not limited to location, the particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $135000 to $145000 (annualized USD).
