The Opportunity
The organization is on a journey to create a high-performing team equipped with modern capabilities. This will require us to change the organization’s expectation of marketing and shift the Marketing focus areas. The expected outcomes of this evolution are 1) growth - marketing as an investment with a predictable contribution to enterprise value, 2) efficiency/effectiveness through a data-driven DNA, 3) capability maturity leading to sophisticated technical and strategic capabilities, and 4) talent alignment to enable a modern, agile marketing organization that nurtures, develops, and attracts top talent.
To drive growth at scale, MetLife has enabled Agile practices in both Global Marketing Technology and Global Marketing Communications. As a senior site author, you will lead the onshore and offshore web publishing team. Working with the web channel managers and Agile pod team members, you will translate business needs to the web with speed, style and scale. You will deeply know the global design systems, Adobe Suite and other web tools while adhering to MetLife brand standards, ADA and user experience best practices.
How You’ll Help Us Build a Confident Future (Key Responsibilities)
§ Lead the onshore and offshore web publishing team helping prioritize and distribute workload equitably.
§ Author and publish content within the MetLife martech stack, including Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), PathFactory, BrightCove, etc.
§ Use responsive web design to craft sites which provide optimal viewing, interaction experience, and readability.
§ Implement re-usable components and experience fragments to streamline the authoring process.
§ Style content using CSS to match creative specifications.
§ Diagnose and troubleshoot performance and other issues
§ Provide technical guidance and mentoring to others
What You Need to Succeed (Required Qualifications)
* 10+ years leading an onshore and offshore team
* 10+ years’ AEM authoring experience (AEM certification strongly preferred)
* 10+ years’ CSS and Javascript experience
* 3+ year experience with Adobe Target
* 1+ year experience with Adobe Workfront, PathFactory
* Bachelor’s degree or related military experience
