Senior Site Civil Engineer

As a Senior Civil Engineer in this role, you will be involved and directly impact the following project types:

Department of defense projects for various agencies (USACE, Air Force, Space Force, Navy).Technology projects in the field of manufacturing along with data centers.Solid waste and wastewater facility improvements.Solar, battery storage and substation projects.

Primary Responsibilities

Lead civil design development of linear civil design projects including layout of project footprint, major features, construction limit of work, and access and egress.Lead civil design development of construction plan sets, including development of sheet indices including general, site layout and baseline, existing conditions, demolition, plan/profile, typical sections and miscellaneous details Lead development of civil design portion of technical specifications, design documentation reports, and quantity take-offs. Lead coordination with cost estimator to establish proof of concept construction sequence and provide needed quantities for cost opinionCoordinate with hydraulic, geotechnical, and structural engineers to establish technical continuity for common design elements Coordinate with project manager to distribute and track task-specific budgets to junior staff working under your directionParticipate in development and implementation of in-house civil planning and design training activitiesEngage and maintain a professional development plan focused on refining your professional acumen and expanding it into areas of interestPerform complex assignments exercising judgment in evaluation, selection and modification of standard engineering techniques and proceduresServe as a technical expert with recognized authority in an area of specialization that resolves problems of greater scope and complexity as neededPlan and develop projects or design activities that have significant impact on major company programs as neededPlan, organize and supervise work of a medium to large staff of professionals and technicians as neededServe as a Project Manager on larger projects, although project management is not the sole focus of this positionPerform other tasks as neededPreferred QualificationsCivil 3D experienceDesign management experiencePublications of technical papers and/or presentations at conferencesExperience in Bentley or Autodesk drafting platforms and associated vertical applications such as Geopak, Inroads, OpenRoads Designer, or Civil 3D, BluebeamExperience with Civil Engineering design (including management of survey and utility data, coordination with GIS data sources, creation of surfaces, performance of earthwork grading, or performance of quantity take-offs)Good technical writing skills

Bachelor's degree A minimum of 10 years design experience managing various civil/site design projects Professional Engineer (PE) license.Project Engineering and Project Management experience An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

The expected compensation range for this position is $123,508.00 - $200,500.00 annually depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location.
