Senior Site/Civil Engineering Project Manager | Hybrid| Watertown or Boston, MA locations

 

VHB’s Land engineering team is looking to add a Senior Site/Civil Engineering Project Manager to join their Watertown or Boston, MA office. The team specializes in land development with a multidisciplinary approach including civil engineering, environmental services, planning, surveying, and transportation. VHB delivers comprehensive solutions from site assessment and feasibility studies to permitting, design, and construction administration. They focus on sustainable development in residential, commercial, mixed-use, and public infrastructure projects. Using innovative technology and local knowledge, VHB ensures efficient, responsible project delivery that meets regulatory and community needs, enhancing the built environment.

 

Responsibilities

Manage work and development of Land Engineering projects and staffDevelop and support new project opportunities and manage proposal submissionsResponsible for project financial performance and client relationsDevelop site/civil engineering plans and specifications for a multitude of projects Support preparation of land development design and permitting documentsCivil engineering for retail, residential, institutional, renewable energy and industrial site design including grading and drainage design, utility design, and site design/layoutPreparation of schematic design, design development, and construction contract documentationAssist in the preparation of permitting, design and construction documentsAttend meetings with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to establish their needs and discuss design/permitting issues Supervise design team activities during Construction Administration

 Skills and Abilities

Proficient in site layout, grading, utility design and stormwater management Knowledge of local and State regulations governing site design preferredAbility to think critically and creatively in a team-focused environmentExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills AutoCAD, HydroCAD, and StormCAD proficiency preferred

 Qualifications

BS in Civil Engineering or related degree/MS preferred8-11 years of professional site/civil engineering experience required;11+ years’ experience preferredPE licensure required
