Introduction

 

We are looking for a Senior Site Manager (Off-Site) to join our team in Espoo! In this role, you will have an exciting opportunity to work in an international setup and in a central role with the plant deliveries of Metso’s Smelting Business Line. In this position, you will report to Director, Site Management & Construction. 

 

The primary location for this position is Espoo, Finland, but we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options. 

 

Team you belong to

 

Site Management plays a crucial role in the implementation of Metso’s plant deliveries. Based in Espoo, we design and deliver state-of-the-art mineral processing and metals refining plants to clients worldwide. Our team ensures that every delivery is sold, constructed, and commissioned to meet all requirements, ultimately achieving complete client satisfaction.

 

What you’ll do

 

Managing off-site management activities in BL Smelting, Delivery organization Responsibility of site activity planning, preparation and mobilization for various projects around the world during implementation phase. Responsibility of site/construction/commissioning activities of plant deliveries during sales phase, including Early capex estimates for Feasibility Studies Site Manning Plans for Advisory Services Contracts Construction Planning, Estimation and Sub-contracting for EP/C/M contracts Strong collaboration with sales teams to build early involvement in sales process and strong participation in the proposal and contract phases Develop site activities/construction offering, estimation and subcontracting concepts and tools Responsibility of off-site management function development to support large implementation projects in site/construction related subcontracting, mobilization and resource allocation within own organization and in co-operation with other internal organizations and external service providers Ensure compliance and support development of Global processes, tools and systems

 

Who you are

 

Engineering degree from a university of applied science or equivalent 10+ years of experience in large capex projects, EPC Site Management experience Solid technology & process as well as services knowledge Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English Solid understanding of Project & Cost Controls Tools Strategic and tactical way of thinking with an ability to understand customer needs
