Why We Have This Role

\n

We are seeking a skilled Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our Foundation Gov1 Team. This role will significantly influence our infrastructure strategy, emphasizing leadership in critical projects requiring cross-organizational collaboration and technical excellence.

Must be able to access Gov1 Environment:

\n\nMust be a US Citizen or Green Card holder (permanent resident)\nMust agree to Rules of Behavior for accessing Gov1 \n\nRules generally entail:\n\nFollowing IT and Security policies with regards to access, control and device usage\nProtecting customer data and following policies around confidentiality\nStaying up to date with required company training\n\n\n\n

How You’ll Find Success

\n\nLead complex technical initiatives that span multiple teams and departments.\nDrive architectural decisions that align with business objectives, leveraging tools like Kubernetes and Docker.\nMentor and elevate team capabilities, providing strategic guidance and fostering the use of infrastructure-as-code with tools like Terraform.\nIdentify opportunities for infrastructure improvement and build consensus across teams.\nDevelop infrastructure modernization roadmaps and champion reliability best practices.\n\n

\n\nDemonstrates strategic thinking and influences technical direction through data-driven insights.\nMaintains an energetic and optimistic approach to obstacles.\nTakes ownership of complex problems and champions operational excellence.\n\n

Things You’ll Do

\n\nAutomate builds, deployments, monitoring, and alerting processes.\nCreate and maintain infrastructure-as-code solutions using Terraform.\nExecute security compliance measures and controls.\nConduct advanced performance tuning for databases and application systems with containerized environments in mind.\nDesign and implement automation solutions for routine operational tasks using tools like Terraform and Ansible.\nDevelop and maintain monitoring systems and alerting configurations.\nOptimize database performance through advanced query and management strategies.\nImplement infrastructure-as-code solutions to enhance system efficiency.\nEnhance existing CI/CD pipelines and ensure smooth integration with tools like Kubernetes and Docker.\nEnsure compliance with security measures and perform systematic troubleshooting of production issues.\n\n

What We’re Looking For On Your Resume 

\n\n5+ years of relevant technical experience with expert-level proficiency in multiple domains.\nDeep understanding of distributed systems architecture.\nProven track record of leading complex technical initiatives and driving strategic change.\nProficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Bash, and Go, with the ability to adapt and learn new languages as necessary.\nExperience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform and configuration management tools such as Ansible.\nExtensive experience with Kubernetes and Docker for containerization and orchestration.\nAdvanced SQL skills and experience in database performance optimization.\nStrong influence skills with the ability to mentor other engineers and lead cross-functional teams.\nExperience diagnosing and resolving complex production issues and enhancing CI/CD processes.\nFamiliarity with monitoring solutions such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Splunk.\nAbility to participate in on-call rotations and handle high-pressure situations.\n\n

For full-time positions, this pay range is for base per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, education, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be included in an employment offer, in addition to a range of medical, financial, and other benefits, based on eligibility criteria.
