We are seeking a passionate and talented Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our team at SAP’s Cloud Security organization. In this role, you’ll be the guardian of our systems' health, ensuring that our Identity and Access Management infrastructure is resilient, secure, and always available. You'll play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining the systems that keep our services running smoothly, even in the face of unforeseen challenges. What you’ll do

Ensure High Availability: Design and implement systems that are fault-tolerant, highly available, and scalable. You’ll be the one who makes sure our services are always up and running. Automate Everything: Develop automation tools that reduce manual effort and streamline processes, from deployments to incident management. You believe in automating repetitive tasks to focus on what truly matters. Monitor & Respond: Proactively monitor the health of our systems, identify potential issues before they become problems, and respond quickly to incidents when they occur. Your ability to troubleshoot in high-pressure situations will be crucial. Performance Optimization: Analyze system performance and identify areas for improvement. You’ll work closely with development teams to optimize code and infrastructure for better efficiency and speed. Collaborate & Educate: Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to foster a culture of reliability. You’ll share your knowledge and help others build more reliable systems. Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Stay ahead of the curve by researching and implementing the latest technologies and best practices in site reliability engineering. You’ll be encouraged to experiment, innovate, and continuously improve our systems.

 

What you bring

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related discipline that provides a solid background in software development.

Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related discipline and 3+ years of experience in a similar SRE, DevOps, or systems engineering role, with a strong background in software engineering. Technical Skills: Proficiency in cloud technologies (Cloud Foundry, NGINX), application performance monitoring tools (Dynatrace, Grafana), infrastructure as code (Jenkins, GitHub), relational databases (PostgreSQL) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar. Problem Solver: You thrive on solving complex problems and can think on your feet. You’re not just fixing issues—you’re building solutions that prevent them. Team Player: Excellent communication and collaboration skills. You can work seamlessly with cross-functional teams and are always ready to lend a helping hand. Passionate & Driven: You’re passionate about technology and reliability. You’re constantly learning and looking for ways to improve yourself and the systems you manage. Communication Skills: Fluency in both written and spoken English
