The Opportunity:

CACI is searching for an experienced, Senior Software Architect to support the development of the overall architectural strategic vision for the NGA SAFFIRE contract in the delivery of cutting-edge Computer Vision (CV) and Structured Observation Management (SOM) capabilities. The Senior Software Architect will have the opportunity to shape the overall technical strategic vision for the contract, optimizing performance of technical execution and identifying architectural and procedural efficiencies across the product teams. They will act as a senior technical subject matter expert for the program, interfacing directly with the customer to define and demonstrate SAFFIRE’s overall cohesive approach across a variety of technologies including Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning (AI/ML), microservices, and GIS Systems. SAFFIRE senior leadership expects this role to grow into a Key Personnel position; successful candidate will learn the intricacies of the current contract by providing direct support in preparation for the next phase of the program and their career.

Responsibilities:

Define the architectural strategy and transformation of critical NGA CV and SOM applicationsWork in a highly Agile environment as both a mentor and technology leaderChampion special projects and transformationIdentify metrics and automate metrics collection / detection to ensure the system meets the needs of the usersIdentify optimizations and remove roadblocks from the product teamsAlign standards, frameworks and security with overall business and technology strategiesWork directly with the customer in solving their most difficult problemsLead the technical team to drive innovation into the software baseline

Qualifications:

Active Top Secret or Top Secret SCI clearance and a polygraph preferred15+ years of related experience5+ years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer and leading a software development team2+ years integrating deep learning techniques, scalable cloud architectures, and/or imagery processing2+ years employing GPUs for near-real time processing of data3+ years developing RESTful servicesBachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or related technical discipline 

Required: 

Experience delivering alpha/beta quality code to the Government in time frames less than 1 month and production quality code in less than 3 monthsExperience with microservice based, scalable architectures.Experience with delivery on AWSExperience with delivery of services in hybrid cloud/on-premises infrastructuresExperience as a lead software architect in environments featuring hybrid cloud/on-premises infrastructures

Desired:

AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate and/or ProfessionalUnderstanding/Experience with Government Cloud Environments (e.g., GovCloud, C2E/C2S)Experience with NGA Common Operations Release Environment (CORE)Experience with Low to High development through a Cross Domain SolutionExperience architecting software platforms in a relevant domain including Structured Observation Management (SOM), Computer Vision (CV), Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and / or NGA Workflows.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$104,200-$229,200
