We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Software Architectin support of the Program Executive Office Ground Combat Systems (PEO GCS).The Senior Software Architect will develop and guide the overall software architecture vision for assigned programs, ensuring alignment between stakeholders, including product management and technical development teams.
This role involves applying modern software development methodologies, such as DevSecOps, and ensuring compliance with best practices in safety, cybersecurity, and data management. The architect will also support design reviews, system integration, and provide expertise on software architecture for government-led meetings and program development efforts.   Responsibilities Develop and guide the software architecture vision for assigned programs. Lead the application of modern software development methodologies (e.g., DevSecOps). Ensure compliance with ground vehicle safety and cybersecurity best practices. Identify and integrate data management requirements. Develop software architecture models using UAF, SysML, or UML. Participate in software and vehicle testing, design analysis, and simulations. Provide input on engineering analysis, design, and testing documentation. Support software development planning and acquisition activities. Assist in requirements management and risk analysis. Qualifications Active DoD Secret Security Clearance.A Bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited program in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science from a college or university.  A minimum total of 10 years developing software, with an additional 5 years experience in development software architecture artifacts for DoD systems including a combination of:  a minimum of 5 years experience in development of U.S. military ground vehicle systems; and  a minimum of 5 years experience in developing and documenting software architectures using Unified Modeling Language. Additional Information
