As a Software Build Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the build, release, and deployment processes of software products developed within a SAFE Scrum environment. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including developers, testers, DevOps engineers, and product owners to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality software releases.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:Manage and optimize the build process for software development projects following the SAFE methodologyConfigure and maintain build automation tools, such GitLab CI/CD, to ensure efficient and reliable buildsCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product owners, and program manager, to integrate build processes into the overall workflowCollaborate with DevOps teams to optimize deployment pipelines and infrastructure configurationsDefine and implement build strategies, including continuous integration, daily/nightly builds, and release builds, aligned with releases and program incrementsMonitor and troubleshoot build failures, identify root causes, and work with development teams to resolve issues promptlyEnsure the integrity and security of the build environment, including managing build artifacts, certificates, and access controlsOptimize build performance and scalability to support the Agile development process, considering factors such as build speed, resource utilization, and parallel executionImplement and maintain build metrics and dashboards to provide visibility into build health, quality, and performanceStay up to date with the latest build tools, technologies, and best practices and propose improvements to the build processEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREDBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related fieldProven experience in software build and release management roles, preferably within an Agile or SAFE Scrum environmentStrong proficiency in build automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD), version control systems (e.g., Git), and deployment automation technologiesKnowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Python) and build configuration languages (e.g., Groovy, YAML)Understanding of software packaging, dependency management, and artifact repositoriesExperience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes is a plusExcellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex build issuesStrong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, Agile development environmentDECISION MAKING & SUPERVISION:This role has no direct reports, but will work and interact with multi-disciplinary engineering teams.WORKING CONDITIONS:This role offers hybrid work environment.Working conditions are generally comfortable typical of an office environment.international travel is required
