Senior Software Developer

Job Summary :

If you are a Senior Software Engineer professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Pune, India location, you will design and develop Emerson’s Real-Time Modeling and Scheduling platform. You will also be involved in developing integrations with other Emerson products like Delta-V, write new features and maintain the code base for these systems. This is a hands-on development role working across all parts of the platform. We need an individual who can switch gears and jump between platforms as well as tasks to meet our product, bugs, and feature priorities. In this role, you will be responsible to design, build, test and deploy solutions that meet our customer needs. This role interacts closely with our professional services team to support our existing clients on bugs and new features. Additional responsibilities include testing new features/enhancements, participating in architecture sessions with our senior engineers, and creating documentation for the software.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Grasp in detail User Stories understanding customer needs and customer value Design, develop and test the integrations between Real-Time modeling system (RTMS) and Emerson’s major engineering platforms like Delta-V and Plantweb Optics Work with inhouse professional services to understand client needs and develop features/solutions. Work with the software development team to design, architect and develop new solutions. Build automated test for new product features and enhancements in increase the robustness of the solution. Provide technical leadership and experience to the team Cultivate culture of innovation and disciplined software engineering practices to deliver business value Write documentation for technical or non-technical users

For This Role, You Will Need :

Bachelor of Science in Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent Be able and willing to learn new technologies to meet the needs of the organization 6+ years in industry experience Work experience on a shipped multi-version revenue generating product Demonstrate proficiency in .NET and C#, Asp.net or Winform. Good knowledge and proficiency in HTML, JS, CSS and front-end frameworks like Angular, React, Vue or Lit(web components) Proficiency in software design patterns and how to effectively apply them Proficiency in design systems for computing intensive solutions Proficiency in various database software like SQL Server and Oracle Good knowledge and proficiency in backend development such as NodeJS, C#, Go Proficiency in Software Unit Testing Proficiency in resource design for API design Experience in Dynamic Web Apps for delivering improved UX. Detail-oriented and committed to quality Ability to devise solutions to problems independently Excellent communication skills and strong time management

Preferred education, experience & skills:

Experience with DevExpress Libraries Experience with non-Microsoft SQL databases Experience with Manufacturing Engineering Systems (MES) Good experience with software development in Azure and other cloud technologies Experience with developing Windows services Good understanding on CI/CD, UX, Docker and Kubernetes. Good understanding of Micro-frontend and Microservices architecture
