Danfoss Power Electronics and Drives are seeking a highly skilled Oracle Senior Software Developer to join our team working on the development and support of our Linecontroller/SCADA platform. This critical system is responsible for managing production processes, ensuring smooth execution, and coordinating communication with production equipment. You will play a key role in upgrading our platform, including database and forms upgrades, while ensuring a seamless transition to new solutions.
Our factory operates with high production variability and short throughput times, requiring advanced automation and seamless processes. Our team develops software to coordinate production equipment like robots, conveyors, and miniloads while also supporting manual assembly by guiding operators and ensuring smooth tool operation.
Deployed across multiple global sites, our software enables international collaboration. The team also explores new technologies to enhance efficiency and production processes.
You’ll join a dedicated team of 10, focusing on the continued development and support of our Oracle platform alongside two key colleagues. We foster a strong social culture, both at work and beyond, creating a supportive and engaging environment.
Job ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Software Developer, you will play a crucial role in developing, optimizing, and maintaining our Linecontroller/SCADA platform. You will be responsible for ensuring system performance, supporting platform upgrades, and facilitating seamless integration with production equipment. Collaborating closely with internal stakeholders and external consultants, you will drive technical enhancements and ensure smooth knowledge transfer for ongoing operations.
Key responsibilities include:
Developing and optimizing PL/SQL code within Oracle Databases, ensuring high efficiency and performance. Supporting the upgrade of Oracle Forms 12c, helping transition existing implementations into future-ready solutions. Providing technical expertise in database administration, system troubleshooting, and performance tuning. Working closely with Production Engineers, IT teams, and external partners to align technical solutions with business needs. Ensuring high system reliability by proactively identifying and resolving potential issues. Background & SkillsTo succeed in this role, you should have 10+ years of experience in Oracle PL/SQL development, database management, and software engineering. You have a strong understanding of SQL optimization and performance tuning, with hands-on experience in Oracle Forms. Additionally, you should be a proactive problem solver who enjoys working with stakeholders across different functions.
Your profile includes:
Extensive experience with Oracle PL/SQL development and database performance optimization. Hands-on knowledge of Oracle Forms, well as experience in system upgrades and migrations. Familiarity with C/ProC, Linux-based troubleshooting, and web services (SOAP/TCP/IP) is a plus. Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments. A proactive mindset, with a passion for improving processes, driving innovation, and ensuring high-quality technical solutions. You are a team player, who help and support across colleagues.
