By Light is looking for a Senior Software Developer to join and lead our technical team in providing support to our client at the Department of Veterans Affairs.  The ideal candidate will be someone that can work independently or within an integrated team.

Position Overview

The goal of the project is to support the existing applications in their current environment and work with a team to modernize the enviornment and the code:

Design, build, test, and deploy software applications and featuresLead an effort to migrate the applications into Azure cloud environmentLead the team to implement significant enhancementsCarry software products through the software development life cycle (SDLC)Write clean, concise, and efficient codeManage code documentation and version controlWork in an agile environment to release software on a regular scheduleTroubleshoot and debug softwareWork with business analysts to define software requirementsProvide Operations and Maintenance support Responsibilities 6+ years of relevant years experience required.College degree in computer science or equivalent years of experienceAbility to deliver tasks on timeExperience with software development life-cycle to include Agile methodologyExperience working on a variety of software development projects.Experience supporting ATO effortsExperience with 508 complianceAbility to develop unit testing of code components or complete applications.Experience with:ASP.NET and/or ASP.NET Core experienceASP.NET MVCC#SQL Server developmentT-SQLHTMLCSSJavaScriptjQuery Required Experience/Qualifications Knowledge of Medical privileging a Huge plusWorking on government projectsActive VA Clearance a plusCreativity is always a plus Preferred Experience/Qualifications Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.
