What Part Will You Play?Design and develop business and consumer applications targeted to POS terminals on the Android platform using Java, Javascript, and the NDKProviding subject matter expertise on the design of applications and libraries.Develop specifications for terminal applications.Mentor other software developers on Android development.Be aware of Android technology changes/practices and disseminate information to peers.Work within an Agile project methodology.Work within aggressive project deadlines.Take ownership of unit testing and the quality/security of code developed.Participates in client-facing meetings, joint venture discussions, vendor partnership teams to determine solution approaches.Provides support to leadership for the design, development and enforcement of business/infrastructure application standards to include associated controls, procedures and monitoring to ensure compliance and accuracy of data.Applies a full understanding of procedures, methodology and application standards to include Payment Card Industry (PCI) security compliance.Conducts and provides basic billable hours and resource estimates on initiatives, projects and issues.Assists with on-the-job training and provides guidance to other software engineers.Provide Android subject matter knowledge, expertise, and recommendations to inform leadership decisions.What Are We Looking For in This Role?Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar technical field required.5+ years of professional software development3+ years Android Java development experience2+ years Javascript development experience2+ years of commercially deployed Android applicationsExperience with Android Studio and Android Development ToolsPreferred QualificationsPayments industry experience a plusHybrid Android development experience a plusC development experience a plusExperience with payment applications or transaction processing a plusExperience with Git a plusExperience with Rally/AgileCentral a plusExperience with Kotlin and IntelliJ is a plus
