**POSITION OVERVIEW**
Reporting to the Business Solutions Delivery Team Leader, the Test Developer is an integrated role within the IT Solutions Delivery team. The Test Developer must participate in the entire development cycle, starting with planning and estimating, identifying test cases, executing test cases, and providing detailed documentation. Working smoothly, in a fast-paced environment and in collaborative working mode will be the norm.
The person who joins the team as a Test Developer will be part of a group that is responsible for supporting, improving and maintaining our Customer Area. This critical application allows our external customers to validate information related to their account, their loans and even make financing requests.
The work carried out takes place in a complex environment, since our Client Area supports several processes with specific business rules. A solid knowledge of the banking and Quality Assurance field is essential to fully understand the ecosystem of this team.
Experience in automating UI tests with Selenium or Playwright as well as automating API tests with ReadyAPI will also be a strong asset. The Senior Developer must also collaborate and act as a leader with the other QA Analysts in the department as well as with the Analysts and Developers within their team.
The Senior software developer in testing - web will be responsible for automating test cases in collaboration with developers. In addition, this person will be responsible for manual validations since some tests will not be automated. They will also be responsible for defining the strategy regarding which tests are to be automated and which will remain manual. They will have to have an overview of the Quality of the Application and ensure complete, adequate and up-to-date documentation of the various deliverables related to Quality Assurance.
**CHALLENGES TO BE MET**
+ Create and update test cases to test new improvements and defect fixes
+ Create test cases and automated tests for multiple APIs
+ Provide estimates for planning purposes, including the efforts required by direct and indirect systems and people
+ Contribute to the testing approach (strategy), considering the underlying business problems, dependent systems, and particularities of small, detailed changes
+ Execute as-designed test plans
+ Document all test results in the appropriate systems
+ Actively participate in daily Scrums
+ Communicate analysis observations, issues and findings to appropriate team members, using appropriate communication channels in a concise, understandable and comprehensive manner
+ Adapt to changing technology, learning and applying new methods to achieve organizational goals and follow best practices for the financial sector and for the IT industry.
+ Control the quality and stability of the IT systems provided by following standard product lifecycle development (PLC) practices
+ Perform regular maintenance on the automated test suite and ensure that documentation related to quality processes is up to date
+ Maintain or create regression test suites (automated and manual)
+ Lead regression testing activities for existing applications when required
**WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR**
**Education and experiences**
+ Bachelor's degree in information technology or equivalent experience
+ At least ten years of experience in quality assurance or information technology
+ Relevant experience in ServiceNow testing or development
+ Experience in the banking sector is an asset (maybe not)
**Knowledge and Skills**
+ Good knowledge of UI Automation with Selenium and/or Playwright
+ Good knowledge of manual and automated API testing with ReadyAPI
+ Demonstrate a high level of collaboration with developers, QA analysts, and product owners
+ Hands-on experience with Azur DevOps
+ Hands-on experience in Agile mode (Scrum, kanban, INVEST)
