Why We Need You:

Ivanti Endpoint Management (EPM) software serves as a centralized hub for managing computers, including platforms such as Windows, macOS, and Linux. With Day Zero support, you can confidently manage your devices without experiencing any loss of management functionality or downtime. Ivanti EPM is a robust, enterprise-level on-premises software solution designed to collect inventory data about devices, access computers via remote control, swiftly migrate or deploy the latest Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems, and automate the frequent updates they require. It enables targeting of user groups and offers an app store-like experience by automatically delivering software to the appropriate devices, allowing a single individual to efficiently manage hundreds or even thousands of devices.

We are looking for Senior software Automation Engineer who will be part of the EPM Automation team and be part of our incredible journey.

 

What You Will Be Doing:

As a Senior Software Developer in Test -experience with manual testing, identify defects & bugs and work with developers to resolve them. Create test cases based on user stories and requirements. Collaborate with other teams to ensure software meets user requirements and is delivered on time. Perform system functional & regression testing.  As a Senior Software Developer in Test, you are responsible for automating end-to-end test scenarios, thereby driving the team and product to success. Perform Regular E2E Testing of all products and new features integrated within EPM product. Develop and continuously innovate on REST API, CLI, and GUI-based Automation frameworks for EPM Product Automate E2E use-cases for legacy and new features in parallel for EPM. Develop the CI/CD pipelines and framework for daily production runs. Collaborate with SRE, Support Team, and Project stakeholders on critical bug alerts uncovered by automation. Understand all the critical and important features to be E2E automated by collaborating with Dev managers and Directors/Stakeholders Actively share all the results and customer scenarios automated with all necessary dev managers/directors and stakeholders. Identify all the important customer scenarios and features for E2E execution and automation. Cross Collaborate with different organizations and development teams and help them in E2E Testing and Automation Log issues, debug and triage product failures, and help SRE/Dev Team in RCA and possible fixes.

 

To Be Successful in The Role, You Will Have:

MS or B.S. degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. 6-8 years of experience in software test or QA test role. Experience in manual testing, including creating and running tests, identifying errors, and providing feedback to ensure the final product meets the company's quality standards. Extensive experience in writing automation cases using .NET / C# Extensive experience in Spec flow or a similar framework Linux Operating System: Windows, Red Hat, Ubuntu, Oracle Linux Experience using Microsoft Azure DevOps (ADO) for tracking work items, bugs, and test cases. Experience on Cloud services/SaaS with Azure or AWS Experience using Microsoft Azure DevOps (ADO) for tracking work items, bugs, and test cases or similar product. Experience in automating E2E desktop application use cases. Experience/Familiarity with RDBMS Development methodologies:  Agile software development including Scrum or Kanban Fluency with design patterns, data structures, and algorithm design Good exposure to WinForms/WPF UI frameworks Excellent analytical and trouble shooting skills while reporting issues and tracking them. Good teamwork and communication skills Good knowledge of Agile or Scrum methodologies Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Knowledge of security standards Knowledge of operating systems internals, file systems, networking protocols Good knowledge of DevOps tools and processes

 

Roadmap for Success:

Success for an Automation Engineer would be to take ownership of EPM features, ensure good automation coverage, and run it successfully against the production landscapes. The stability of the automated cases is of utmost importance.

The role involves successfully coordinating with multiple stakeholders like Product Managers, Dev Managers across EPM development, understanding the features thoroughly, and adding them to the regression suites.
