GrabKios is the pillar of Grab’s digital products business – from airtime top up, data package, bill payment, e-wallet top up, and many more. We support millions of users in multiple countries with their digital product needs. We empower hundreds of thousands of entrepreneurs to grow their digital products enterprise. And we also enable external platforms to start selling digital goods as our partners. We’re always keen to grow our impact, and we’re looking for individuals to join our Engineering team in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Get to Know the Role 

You will have opportunities to design backend services. Not only will you get to collaborate with the product, business, and program management teams to be on top of your deliverables, you will also serve as a mentor to your teammates to help meet the teams' deliverables and goals. This role is based onsite in Jakarta. You will report directly to an Engineering Manager.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

Design and develop robust, scalable software applications using GoLang.Identify, prioritize, and execute tasks in the software development life cycle.Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting.Collaborate with a cross-functional team to define, design, and ship new features and functionalities.Lead the architecture and coding standards efforts, ensuring clean & efficient code.Implement modern best practices and patterns in software development.Mentor junior software engineers, providing guidance and support to foster their growth and development.Conduct code reviews, ensuring coding standards, best practices, and security guidelines are adhered to.Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software.Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in software development to continuously improve our products and processes.

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.4+ years experience in backend development with clear architecture mindsetSolid understanding of programming principles, financial transaction consistency, and Git version control.Experience with software development life cycle and agile methodologies.Proven experience in designing scalable and maintainable architectures.Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.A passion for mentoring and guiding junior team members.A continuous learner, open to embracing new technologies and development practices.Aspirations to be/become a Team Lead is a pre.Experience with a relational database such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or OracleExperience deploying code in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud environments
