As a Senior Software Engineer on the Tempus Next team, you will work on solutions to synthesize clinical data and AI-enabled insights to identify patients with gaps in their clinical care and surface them to providers at the point of care to improve patient outcomes.

 

Why we’re looking for you:

You are an independent problem solver who can navigate ambiguity You have 5 or more years of hands on software development experience in Javascript or Typescript and are proficient working with Node.js Experience deploying production software in a cloud environment You can lead in technical analysis and design, evaluate tradeoffs, and establish best practices You like writing performant and maintainable software You enjoy collaborating and iterating with a cross disciplinary team of product managers and engineers, reviewing code, and are comfortable interfacing with other teams and working with internal services and APIs Excellent communication skills

 

Bonus points for:

Experience working with web frameworks such as Express.js, Koa, NestJS, and with API design and development Experience with UI development using libraries such as React Experience working with a relational database such as PostgreSQL or MySQL, and writing SQL Experience using GCP services, such as BigQuery, PubSub, GKE Experience with Terraform HCL Experience working with structured or unstructured clinical data in cardiology or oncology

The expected salary range below is applicable if the role is performed from [Illinois] and may vary for other locations. Actual salary may vary based on qualifications and experience. Tempus offers a full range of benefits, which may include incentive compensation, restricted stock units, medical and other benefits, depending on the position.

Illinois Pay Range$110,000—$160,000 USD
