Amazon Security is looking for a Sr. Software Development Engineer who is excited about leading the technical vision and architecture to build security visibility and observability across Stores businesses. This team is reimagining how we scale security for the breath and depth of Amazon’s unique business footprint. It will include building solutions to enable actionable interpretation of data from security data sources across the enterprise services. The products built by this team will be used across all business verticals in Amazon, giving you the unique opportunity to have company-wide influence. Our team also supports the security integration of newly acquired companies, providing the candidate opportunities to learn, scale, and influence how we ensure all the business teams we support can maintain their operation at the Amazon security bar.

Key job responsibilities
* Gather and analyze business and functional requirements, and translate business requirements into technical design specifications.
* Write high-quality, efficient, testable code and recommend improvements in development, maintenance, and system standards, and contribute to software documentation.
* Be responsible for technical problem solving, meeting product objectives, and developing best practices
* Track and report on metrics which are key performance indicators, allowing performance improvements so that the desired outcomes are achieved to plan and in a timely manner
* Dive deep into operational issues, identify root-causes to operational issues like latency spikes, SLA breaches and functionality regressions.
* Serve as an essential technical resource in the full development cycle.
* Mentor junior team members in career growth
