Why Box needs you:
Our Threat Protection team is dedicated to empowering Box administrators with the tools they need to ensure the security of our platform. We offer a comprehensive collection of features that provide timely security alerts and effective response actions in the face of potential threats. Our feature-set can be divided into two main areas: Anomaly Detection and Malware Detection.

 
Who you are:  

At least 5 years of professional software development experience Proficiency in Java, Scala, C++, or other modern software development languages Knowledge of cloud environment principles and experience developing applications with microservices architecture Ability to assess, communicate, and meet project milestones in a timely manner with managers and team members Fluent English speaking skills Nice to have: Interest in security topics such as authentication, identity, and industry best practices Practical experience working with GCP (Google Cloud Platform) and Kubernetes

You will be expected to: 

Attend and engage in stand ups and maintain sprint task statuses in issue tracking tool daily Attend team, project, and manager 1:1 meetings weekly Collaborate with Product Management to help refine requirements and break down complex projects into meaningful, deliverable units  Work collaboratively with other engineers, team members, across teams, and with partner organizations Respond to technical and behavioral feedback from manager and peers Play a role in developing and fostering Box culture Represent Box Poland internally and externalls Participate in the production on-call rotation with the team members

Percentage of Time Spent: 

60% coding 10% technical design 10% documentation 10% bug fixes/maintenance 10% meetings

Box lives its values, with community and in-person collaboration being a core part of our culture. Boxers are expected to work from their assigned office a minimum of 2 days per week, with a focus on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
