SEI is seeking to hire a Senior Software Engineer. This position requires a foundation of software development knowledge, and the ability to work in an Agile team environment.  You should be adaptable, possess a wide range of technical skills, and demonstrate the ability to understand financial services business requirements. You should be a strong ‘utility’ type programmer with the ability to switch context quickly and efficiently with project managers, database engineers, technical operations and other platform personnel.

What you will do:

Write well-crafted, well-tested code that meets the business needs and fits the SEI architecture and engineering strategy.Participate in code reviews extensively.Participate in reviews of business requirements, product requirements, and technical designs.Create technical designs. Write automated tests.Analyzing and resolving issues found during the testing or pre-production phases of the software delivery lifecycle; coordinating changes with project team leaders and cross-work team membersShare knowledge with teammates by contributing to wikis, giving peer-to-peer talks, and helping out as makes sense. Your technical contributions can be focused on (a) web tier, (b) services/db tier, or (c) both. You do not need to be a full-stack engineerInteracts with architects, other tech leads, team members and project manager as required to address technical and schedule issues.Suggests and implements process improvements for estimating, development and testing processes.

What we need from you:

Qualification – Bachelors in Technology / Computer Science or Masters in Computer ApplicationsA minimum of 5 years prior work experience working with an application development organization; must demonstrate experience delivering systems and projects from inception through implementationDatabase skills. Understand data modeling, how to get data into and out of a database in codeStrong RDBMS skills programming in SQL Server (Stored Procedures, Triggers, Functions), database modeling/design, and database optimizationStrong design and development experience on .Net technologies - .NET Framework 4/4.5/Core/.NetExperience with Entity Framework (EF) on SQL Server or Azure SQL Database is a BIG plusUnderstands OOPs concepts and knowledge of UML diagramSkills with ASP.NET ,WebAPIDesigning and developing Cloud Native applications using Azure platformDeploying and configuring well performing Cloud Native applicationsExperience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform is a BIG PlusUnderstanding of how to create clean, testable, maintainable services a MUST have. Experience with microservices or SOA is a plusSound understanding of Design PatternsStrong skills with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular is a BIG plusUnderstands how to create fast, maintainable client code in a Single-Page App (SPA). HTTP protocol. Caching Experience with Identity Technologies (OAuth, Azure AD, AWS IAM, OKTA, Ping) is a PlusGood to have experience working with data streaming technologies like Kafka
