Product Vision: Develop the vision, roadmap and prioritize features that have the maximum business impact.Lead and Mentor: Oversee development teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time and exceed quality standards. Mentor and develop junior engineers to foster a culture of growth and innovation.Build Scalable Solutions: Architect, develop, and maintain high-performance web applications that handle large-scale data processing and machine learning pipelines.Collaborate for Success: Partner closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to create exceptional user experiences.Drive Quality and Efficiency: Establish and uphold rigorous coding standards. Conduct code reviews and implement best practices to optimize development processes.Stay Ahead of the Curve: Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation.Lead and generate technical solutions including specifying of requirements, functional decomposition, analysis, development and testing for current, new and major programsLead development of software system team design content and software anomaly corrections.Perform complex design analysisSpecifies and balances system requirementsProvide, communicate, and support common best practices among software communityPerform other related duties as assigned.Perform as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for at least one platform or application componentYour Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
Minimum 7 years of professional software development experience7 or more years with object-oriented/object function scripting languages: Python, Java, C++, Scala, etc.At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Big Data Tools: Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.Hands on experience with design and development of highly available, distributed, and scalable systems for large scale data processing and machine learning Strong experience in UI development with deeper knowledge of Restful Web Services HTML, JavaScript, React/Angular, CSS, PowerShell. azureExperience in distributed data processing systems such as Hadoop, Spark and machine learningGeneral database entity design, SQL / PLSQL coding, query performance and efficiency tuning.Solid knowledge of web application development using client-side frameworks / libraries like AngularJSExperience with Azure Cloud Technologies, and microservice approachesWorking knowledge of source control software (ADO, Git or SVN).Self-starter and quick learner who understands and can adapt to existing software application and computing infrastructures.Crafting self-contained, reusable, and testable modules and components in back-end technologies: Docker, Kubernetes, Azure Cloud ContainersUnderstanding messaging technologies such as Azure Event Service, Event Hub / Service Bus, Kafka, as well as other streaming applications & tools.Ability to architect and implement scalable high availability solutions.Proficiency in build/release pipeline solutions.Empathy with users internal and external, and a strong customer focusStrong communication skills and a collaborative mindsetThis role is based remotely but if you live within a 50-mile radius of [Atlanta, Austin, Detroit, Warren, Milford or Mountain View], you are expected to report to that location three times a week, at minimum.
