Job Description Summary:

The Senior Software Engineer designs, develops, troubleshoots, debugs, and sets the direction for the design and implementation of software features/functionality/enhancements, correction of defects, and/or the creation of new products. Develops software tools including operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, databases, and Internet-related tools. Determines software’s compatibility with hardware and/or influences software's design in relation to hardware.

ob Overview:  

The Senior Software Engineer designs, develops, troubleshoots, debugs, and sets the direction for the design and implementation of software features/functionality/enhancements, correction of defects, and/or the creation of new products. Develops software tools including operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, databases, and Internet-related tools. Determines software’s compatibility with hardware and/or influences software's design in relation to hardware. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

•    Mastery of software systems 
•    Proficient at complex programming exercising independence and discretion while working independently or as part of a team 
•    May lead a team on short or long-term projects as needed
•    Act as the technical subject matter expert for a product domain and may act as the technical leader within a team
•    Works independently to create new products, new features, implement software enhancements, correct defects.
•    Set the direction for design and implementation of software features/functionality, correction of defects and/or creation of new products 
•    Documents and communicates on complex technical topics outside the immediate development team
•    May interact with customer users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications 
•    History of success working within a team environment
•    Will require to debug and provide resolutions for the legacy code.

Required Qualifications:  

8+ years of software engineering experience 

Proven experience in designing and deploying secure, scalable, highly available, fault tolerant, cost-efficient solutions in AWS public cloudProven working experience in Java developmentExperience in building and testing Java EE applicationsExperience in REST API, JMS, Json documentsMultithreading, memory management in code, performance aspectsExperience with SQL Databases (Oracle, SQL Server, Postgres, MSSQL, DB2 …) including JDBCSome experience in / or a willingness to learn new technologies e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, Node.js, JS frameworks, NoSQL databasesProficient understanding and experience of code versioning tools, such as Bitbucket, GitExperience with fully Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment e.g. JenkinsAgile development methodologies

Education: 

Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science or equivalent
