How you’ll make an impact: We are seeking a talented, driven Senior Software Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be a part a very high-performing team of engineers that build, own, and maintain backend services, consisting of mainly microservices and big data pipelines. You will design, collaborate, and execute building the Forecasting Service at scale, while automating and providing insights to the data onboarding with the SXM Media and AdsWizz services. What you’ll do: Design and build the Forecasting Service components at scale with the SXM Media and AdsWizz services and data model Collaborate with the Product team to clarify the scope of the projects Collaborate with the GOPS teams to ensure flawless deployments in production and provide support to the L1/L2/L3 teams Work with a team of engineers building software in a collaborative development process Build high-performance, stable, scalable systems to be deployed in an enterprise setting What you’ll need: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar field, or equivalent experience, in lieu of degree. 5+ years of experience in software engineering teams in a technical organization. Broad professional experience with a functional programming language, ideally Java or Scala Excellent SQL knowledge Excellent understanding of the data structures & algorithms concepts Excellent experience with software architecture & modeling tools Strong problem-solving skills, as well as oral and written communication skills Excellent understanding of Continuous Delivery and Continuous Deployment Experience with one modern cloud solution (ideally AWS or GCP) Experience with Kubernetes and microservices Experience implementing and designing big data solutions Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels.
