As a Senior Software Engineer, you will help the team in building software delivered to customers that help save lives. You will be a part of our integrated physical security platform with the mission to keep people safe and operations running faster.What you'll do:Work as an individual contributor in an agile cross-functional development team and help with developing and testing features as a team.Ensure that you follow best practices, standards and processes while delivering world class software.Develop our Windows based client and server solutions that integrate edge hardware devices into a situational aware platform for our customers.
Examples of the different types of problems we ask the development team to solve:Displaying geospatially aware smart city dataDisplaying geospatial tracking dataSaving video feed snapshotsDynamic near real-time event processingVideo overlay integrationAccess control managementDistributed site infrastructure managementWe primarily focus on .Net 4.5+ C# implementations and regularly integrate with functional library frameworks.We have continuous integration with TFS including unit testing, selenium-based GUI testing and static analysis.What you'll bring:Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.At least 6 years of experience as a professional software engineer (commercial/open source)Brings a range of software development and delivery experienceInterest in solving complex problems that help keep people safeWant to design solutions and can explain it across skill levelsEager to own feature work and be involved in the detail of across a feature’s lifecycleDeep understanding of Microsoft Stack (C# .Net 4.5+, .Net Core, SQL Server) Strong experience on Windows platforms (Desktop and Servers). Experience in large code-base products or enterprise grade softwareExposure to windows desktop application development Nice to have: Web development experience, particularly with MVVM based frameworks and JavaScript frameworks (, Angular)Exposure to WPF, WCF, win forms, windows services etc particularly in multi-threaded/multi-node environmentsInterest or experience in near real time computing/communicationFull stack development experienceHardware integration/API experienceExperience with concurrent distributed systemsJira and ConfluenceAPI Design ExperienceNOSQL experienceExperience using Containers (Docker)#LI-BK1
