What you'll do We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with a blend of back and front end experience to join our Platform and Integrations team, to help us build and scale the next generation of the platform and customer facing features. As a senior member of the team, you will help drive the architecture and development of all the services to build an innovative integration solution. You will work with your team to build an outstanding software organization that is responsible for delivering SaaS products that meet the needs of our wide range of customers and their workflows. Our team focuses on distributed decision making that rewards ownership, clarity, and partnership. This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Director, Engineering. Responsibility Design, implement, and maintain high-quality software applications using JavaScript, Node.js, and TypeScript, ensuring optimal performance and user experience Engage in both frontend and backend development tasks, collaborating with multi-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions Create robust architecture and design patterns for scalable applications, ensuring code reusability and maintainability Analyze and improve application performance through effective use of data structures and algorithms, applying best practices to enhance efficiency Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure alignment to coding standards and best practices, providing constructive feedback to team members Mentor junior developers, sharing knowledge and best practices to foster their growth and enhance team capabilities Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, contributing to continuous improvement of processes Identify and resolve technical issues and bugs in a timely manner, ensuring minimal disruption to development workflows Continuously research and evaluate new technologies, frameworks, and tools to enhance development practices and drive innovation Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other partners to gather requirements, provide technical insights, and ensure alignment on project goals Job Designation Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. What you bring Basic 8+ years of professional experience in software development, specializing in JavaScript, Node.js, and TypeScript Strong skills in both frontend and backend development, capable of building and maintaining scalable applications Deep Knowledge of Data Structures and Algorithms Familiar with various design patterns and architectural principles, enabling the creation of maintainable and reusable code Experience working in Agile environments, contributing to iterative development and continuous improvement processes Preferred Proven experience working on microservices based on cloud-native architectures Exposure to integrate AI tools (LLMs, custom RAG pipelines) in products Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and mentor junior developers, fostering a culture of learning and growth Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to tackle and resolve technical challenges effectively Quick to learn new technologies and frameworks, demonstrating flexibility in adapting to changing project requirements Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to non-technical partners Life at Docusign Working here Docusign is committed to building trust and making the world more agreeable for our employees, customers and the communities in which we live and work.
