This is a fully benefitted, full-time Harvard University position that has been funded through 3/30/2027. There is a possibility of renewal, contingent on funding, university priorities and satisfactory job performance.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions*):
Arts and Humanities Research Computing (DARTH) provides consultation, instruction, project management, and software development for faculty engaged in digital humanities projects. Reporting to the Director of Arts and Humanities Research Computing, this position will work directly with the principal investigators of the Digital China Initiative in collaboration with their research team. The Digital China Initiative provides support for using traditional and new digital technologies to engage in research that seeks to take into account large amounts of information. Its staff support scholarship in the humanities and social sciences in the FAS and the professional schools.
This position will work on multiple research projects to extract structured data from Chinese and English texts to populate knowledge graphs and join with existing knowledge graphs and other data sources to ground GraphRAG applications. This position will also work with the rest of the DARTH team to build a full stack environment to integrate and deploy these models.
