As a part of Microsoft AI’s Engineering Services team, you will create and operate innovative products and services based on MAI’s deep understanding of the web to ensure a safe, inclusive and compliant customer experience. Our team delivers support to the compliance function, from process flow to engineering. You will also be collaborating with subject matter experts in the Security, Privacy, Accessibility and Audit Compliance Space.
Our team is looking for passionate, self-motivated **Senior Software Engineer** with a technical background who wants to build tooling, processes, automation, and engineering infrastructure to empower MAI engineers across the globe to build secure and compliant services trusted by consumers. **Responsibilities**
+ Develop and incubate innovative and proactive products/services to support and automate compliance in MAI and across Microsoft.
+ Own and deliver complete features, including design, architecture, implementation, testability, debugging and shipping.
+ Apply engineering principles for defining robust and maintainable architectures and designs.
+ Manage operations, communication, escalation and reporting of product/service health across domain areas.
+ Proactively seeks new knowledge and adapts to new trends, research new technologies and tools that can be integrated into our engineering systems.
+ Work with our subject matter experts to identify, define and implement automation.
+ Mentor engineers in the team by providing hands-on assistance, best practices, and promoting an inclusive learning environment.
**Qualifications**
**Required Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
+ OR equivalent experience.
+ 4+ years of experience in design, development, debugging, testing and problem-solving.
**Other Requirements**
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements that are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
**Microsoft Cloud Background Check:** This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Experience with web compliance tooling.
+ Familiarity with the Azure ecosystem.
+ Familiarity with databases and query languages such as SQL or Postgres.
+ Knowledge in common classes of software vulnerabilities such as XSS, CSRF, SQLi, OWASP Top 10, cryptographic attacks and beyond.
Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.
