**Job Description Summary**
For a newly built Appian Center of Excellence, we're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to further develop and design high quality products based on Appian technology.
**Job Description**
**Responsibilities**
+ Building applications by translating specifications into IT solutions based on Appian,
+ Participating in the domain technical and business discussions,
+ Translating requirements / vision into prioritized list of user stories and deliver to required timelines and quality standards.
+ Supporting process improvements which guide the development, sustaining & support activities
+ Defining, developing, and evolving software in a fast paced and agile development environment.
+ Training and mentoring more junior peers.
+ Collaborating with other teams and technologies’ representatives to propose efficient solutions meeting high quality standards and following best practices.
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor’s degree in computer science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.
+ Strong professional Appian experience.
**Technical Expertise**
+ Strong knowledge of Appian (Certified Associate Developer is a must) including Design, Process Models, Interface design, Integrations, Data management, Records and Expression Rules, Performance improvement,
+ Experience in designing and developing end to end solutions with a minimal supervision,
+ Experience in Cloud Computing (AWS preferred),
+ Understanding of Agile/Scrum and DevOps model,
+ Experience in working with Relational Databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle etc,
+ Strong knowledge of software design patterns and architecture standards,
+ Working knowledge in Integration services and Connectors like SOAP, REST,
+ Experience in any other programming languages such as Java, JavaScript or BPM technologies (Pega) is a plus.
**Business Acumen**
+ Expert in breaking down problems and estimate time for development tasks.
+ Experience in building software for Global Supply Chain is a plus.
