Senior Software Engineer - (employer: Sirius XM Radio LLC; job location: Irving, TX) - Design, develop, document and integrate components for OEM implementations, and maintain version control of various software versions of internal 360L audio platform applications used by QA, Automation Testing and certain partners/OEMs. Deliver products to market by working closely with internal customers, engineering, design, and program management teams in an Agile environment. Perform function/feature coding, including ensuring suitability code in continuous integration environment. Perform risk analysis, prioritization and scheduling of outstanding change requests (bugs) and feature enhancements. Provide regular and accurate reports to team leader, and perform special projects and lab/field testing. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Information Technology, plus five years of progressive post-Bachelor’s experience in the position offered or a software engineering /development position or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Information Technology, plus three years of experience in the position offered or a software engineering/development position. All required experience must have included developing, testing, and debugging Android or iOS applications using C++ and Java in an embedded environment; applying object-oriented methodologies and system software design concepts in an Agile software development environment; participating in formal documentation and source code reviews, providing relevant and insightful feedback to team members; and working with scripting languages (Ruby and Python), XML, JSON, HTML, REST HTTP protocols, configuration and defect tracking tools (Github and Jira), unit testing best practices, Windows and Linux-based operating systems, and MS Word, Excel and Access including style sheet and macro development. #LI-DNI.
