As a Senior Software Engineer - Applications & Systems, you will have a key role as a member of our development team.  You must have knowledge in all stages of software development.  You’ll be working alongside other engineers (local and overseas), collaborating on the various layers of the infrastructure for our cloud platforms and applications.  You will have responsibility for the architecture, design and development of various features for innovative B2B software & service solutions to be run and supported by Sharp’s subsidiaries world-wide. You will take market requirements and develop software that will delight customers.   

Responsibilities Contribute to architectural design of cloud-based applications, services and associated client softwareDesign and develop features for B2B cloud-centric applicationsCollaborate in the design of new applications/features/functionalityDevelop SDKs and/or define APIs for third party partner integrationsWork effectively with overseas development groups in Japan and India to deliver final softwareDemonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Azure services, mobile (Android & iOS) and Windows clientsDevelop with back-end programming languages (i.e. Python, Java, Javascript, C#)Maintain quality and ensure performance of all applications & servicesConduct testing of developed software to ensure optimal functionality and debug issues that ariseEnsure applications are compliant with current security and data protection standards/protocols Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science or software engineering Minimum 5+ years of software development experience including cloud technologiesExcellent problem solving, analytical, and software design skillsBackground and understanding of Microsoft Azure cloud architectural styles, services and designsFamiliarity with several coding and computer languages (e.g. Node.js, Python, Javascript, C#)Experience with databases (SQL / No SQL including Cosmos DB) and effective design/useSkilled in Analytics and AI developmentClear and coherent written communication, including visual representations of technical designsGood interpersonal communication skillsProficiency in design, development and/or use of REST API’s and SDKsFlexible work schedule to allow for conference calls with other time zones/countriesExperience working in Agile development environmentKnowledge of and skill in utilizing departmental application software (e.g. Microsoft O365, Teams, One Drive)Stay current with technological trendsExperience in any of the following areas is a plus:MFP/printer or display software solutionsWorking with overseas development groups (e.g. Japan, India)Using bug tracking and project management systems (e.g. Azure DevOps), various network and communications protocols, GIT source control, IoT device protocols

Compensation for this position

The compensation range for this role is $110,025 - 181,100.00. The listed salary range or contractual rate excludes bonuses, incentives, differential pay, and any other forms of compensation or benefits. The starting salary will be determined by several variables, including but not limited to experience, education, training, certification, and location. You may also be eligible to receive an annual discretionary incentive award, commissions, and program-specific awards, which are subject to the rules governing these programs.
