Computacenter GIS business unit is seeking a confident and experienced Datawarehouse professionals, to bring maturity to their existing approach. The ideal candidate will have broad experience in Datawarehouse technologies and can create a plan to deliver improvements then execute against the plan.
Good communication skills and relationship building will enable the candidate to excel at the role, build a culture of strong team and advance their career within Computacenter.
What you’ll do
You will be working and learning from a team of talented & experienced data warehouse developers based across two countries, designing and delivering exciting and innovative business intelligence solutions with exposure to cutting edge dimensional modelling techniques & technologies. Day to day, you will become immersed in our business-as-usual support and will also have opportunities to get involved in project work. You will be exposed to enterprise level development tasks across the entire SQL Server Stack. This includes T-SQL querying and optimisation, dimensional modelling (based on Kimball methodology), Integration services best practices & techniques, Analysis Services - Multidimensional cubes as well as tabular cube design, including leveraging the newest column store data compression techniques and programming languages such as DAX. You will also work alongside talented dashboard developers using Pyramid Analytics and Power BI to truly understand the power of data visualisation in today’s modern world. We will work to create a personal bespoke development plan tailored to your individual training needs and work with you to grow your skillset in enterprise level BI development and solution delivery.
What you’ll need
Technically oriented training and/or a corresponding degree, e.g. in (business) informatics with experience of 7+ years in BI Domain. You enjoy playing a decisive role in shaping the future of your team as well as the group-wide reporting platform. You will be assigned to technical mentor that will help you achieve your professional goals. The focus will be on technical skills in the software development lifecycle (SDLC), as well as soft skills required to succeed as a data warehouse Developer. Some topics may include communication methods in business, approaches to writing technical design documents and presentation skills. More than anything you will have a passion for data and the potential it holds, a keen eye for detail and a drive to immerse yourself in and learn from an accomplished company that invests in future talent. Skills needed Microsoft SQL Server Stack –Integration-SSIS and T-SQL programming experience is a must, ETL knowledge, SSDT / Git / Visual Studio experience’. Preferred Skills: SQL Server 2019. SSAS (Tabular), DAX, Power BI knowledge, scripting (C# within SSDT/ Visual Studio/ Python). Very good English skills, strong communication skills on all levels and ideally experience in working with international teams
