The Team (IB App Performance)

The IB App Performance team is focused on improving the performance, scalability, and reliability of the most heavily used Bloomberg application. IB is critical to our clients' day to day and we set out to ensure that it can keep up with clients' growing needs. The team takes on a wide range of work focusing on both long term and near term goals. 

As part of this team you would have influence on current/future features developed within IB. You would also be challenged to build those features to be highly available, scalable and be low latency.

You’ll need to have:

4+ years working with an object-oriented programming language such as JavaScript/Typescript, C/C++, Java, or Python

A Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, similar field of study or equivalent work experience.

Ability to collaborate with our stakeholders to take their ideas and break them down into clearly scoped projects

Interest in system design and architecture

Strong collaboration and teamwork skills

What we’d love to see:

Interest or experience in profiling and optimizing applications

Experience with Javascript or web development

A strong sense of ownership and a passion to build great products

A desire to continuously improve personally and at a team level (architecture, workflows, coding practices, testing).

Salary Range = 160000 - 240000 USD Annually + Benefits + Bonus
The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
