Senior Software Engineer/Developer
Job Description:

Position Description:

Develops and tests user interfaces and application programming interfaces (APIs) using JavaScript. Investigates, isolates, and solves technical issues across the full technology stack by using automated and manual testing methodologies. Tests Angular/Vue based UI using RESTful web services. Designs DevOps environment with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools, such as Jenkins. Implements standard methodologies for testing UI apps and REST APIs. Provides business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications.

Primary Responsibilities:

Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts. Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms. Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives. Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives. Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems.Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Biotechnology, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) crafting and maintaining test automation in an agile delivery model to support web services or UI front-end within a Cloud based architecture.

Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Biotechnology, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) crafting and maintaining test automation in an agile delivery model to support web services or UI front-end within a Cloud based architecture.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) achieving robust TestNG and Cucumber framework to handle browsers and host type (local or remote) on triggering execution from TestNG xml or POM xml file.DE integrating Selenium WebDriver or Cypress Automation scripts with Github CI/CD pipeline and Azure DevOps build pipeline to achieve scheduled run for regression suite and light out testing.DE supporting full stack Java-based multi-tier architectures, using Java, Javascript, J2EE technologies, Jenkins, Maven, or Git.DE creating CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) pipelines for business-critical, applications developed in Java, NodeJS, C Sharp, and .NET, using Jenkins, Python, and shell scripting.
