About the Role
As a Senior Software Engineer I, you will conduct complex research, design, and software development tasks. You will contribute to project plans and schedules, shaping the strategic direction of the software engineering function. You will ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and maintainable software products by overseeing software design across multiple systems and providing efficient solutions.

Responsibilities
Performing complex research, design, and software development tasks within a software functional area or product line such as Lexis+ AI.
Providing direct input to project plans, schedules, and methodology in the development of cross-functional software products.
Writing and reviewing portions of detailed specifications for the development of complex system components.
Completing complex bug fixes and resolving technical issues as necessary.
Working closely with other development team members to understand complex product requirements and translate them into software designs.
Implementing successful development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews.
Designing and working with complex data models.
Keeping abreast of new technology developments and interfacing with other technical personnel or team members to finalize requirements.
Requirements
Possess a Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Display extensive experience in software development. Demonstrating a deep understanding of industry best practices and proven success in research and delivering high-quality solutions.
Be able to design and work with complex data models.
Exhibit expertise in object-oriented development languages like Java or .Net (C#). Experience in front-end technologies such as Angular or React is advantageous.
Demonstrate advanced knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Kanban and Scrum) and test-driven development.
Be capable of partnering and leading internal and external technology resources in solving complex business needs.
Have excellent organization/project planning, time management, and change management skills across multiple functional groups and departments.
Have excellent delegation skills involving prioritizing and reprioritizing projects and managing projects of various sizes and complexity.
