Experience and Education

7+ years of Software Engineering experience in Java environmentDegree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experienceKnowledge of professional software engineering practices for the full software development life cycle including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, and automated testingExperience with designing, building and deploying scalable, highly available systemsExperience working with NoSQL DatabasesAdvanced skills with XML, JSON

Key Responsibilities

Serve as internal champion in code quality, reuse, and extensibility and Java subject matter expertWork closely with architecture & other development team members to understand complex product requirements and translate them into software designsContribute to User Story writing and reviews to ensure software design tasks are accurately capturedResearch and recommend for implementation any emerging techniques or technologies that might improve the quality and efficiency of our productsTrain entry-level software engineers as directed by department management, ensuring they are knowledgeable in critical aspects of their roles

Expert-level development experience using Java 11 and above, Spring Boot framework, and RESTful Web ServicesStrong understanding of SOA and API conceptsGood knowledge and experience working with the industry standard approaches in applications security including Auth0, JWT, and Spring Security frameworkAdvanced skills with XML, JSONExperience working with NoSQL databasesKnowledge of test-driven developmentExperience with DevOps, automation and configuration management using tools such as Docker, Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, and GitHubStrong knowledge in industry best practices in developmentHands-on experience developing webapp with AngularFamiliarity with Amazon cloud-based services including SQS/SNS, EC2, SES, S3
