JOB DESCRIPTION:
Perform research, design, and software development assignments within a specific software functional area or product line. Design the program flow of individual pieces of software code, and perform coding and unit testing. Interface with other technical personnel or team members to finalize software requirements. Write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of software system components. Work closely with other software development team members to understand software product requirements and translate them into software designs. Implement software development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews. Operate in various software development environments (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) while collaborating with key stakeholders. Resolve technical issues as necessary, keep abreast of new technology developments, and complete bug fixes. Perform other duties as needed.REQUIREMENTS:
Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field required.3 years of experience in job offered or related occupations required.Also required is: 3 years of experience: building Microservices using Java/J2EE, Spring and Maven; building and deploying Jenkins jobs and maintaining fully automated CI/CD pipeline with Git, Gradle and Docker for standardized code promotion to AWS; working with Test Driven Development for Unit and Integration testing using Junit, Mockito, Postman and Newman CLI; utilizing Splunk, Datadog and CloudWatch to standardize logging for monitoring and maintenance of Microservices; utilizing SonarQube and Jacoco, as static code analysis and code coverage tools; using data manipulation languages and optimization techniques including Oracle and MySQL; building dynamic web pages using HTML, CSS, JS and single page applications using Angular; and performing computing, networking, storage, and database AWS services as well as AWS deployment and management services.Employee reports to LexisNexis USA office in Raleigh, NC, but may telecommute from any location within the U.S.Experience can be concurrent.#LI-DNI
