Senior Software Engineer - IIoT, Cloud & Automation (m/f/d)

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), Cloud & Automation team at Endress+Hauser Digital Solutions and help shape the future of industrial digitalization. As part of our agile development teams, you’ll work on IIoT platforms that connect industrial devices with cloud-based applications, ensuring scalability, security, and high availability. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, integrating diverse technologies and developing software that simplifies complex industrial challenges.

 

Which tasks will you perform?
You will:

Design, develop, and maintain software solutions for our IIoT platform. Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) to automate infrastructure provisioning and management. Utilize containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes) for application deployment. Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth and efficient software deployment. Ensure seamless system integration across diverse technologies and protocols. Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical and system stability issues. Implement robust security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry standards. Design and document scalable, performant and maintainable software architectures. Create comprehensive documentation for code, system designs, and processes to facilitate knowledge sharing. Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver innovative solutions.

 

What do we expect from you?
You:

Hold a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Have at least 5 years of experience in software development, preferably in the IIoT sector. Proficiency in Go or Ruby or another modern language (e.g. Java, or C#). Front-end knowledge including JavaScript and React is a plus. Have hands-on experience with DevOps tools and practices, including CI/CD, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code (Terraform). Are experienced with IIoT platforms such as Microsoft Azure IoT and AWS IoT. Understand communication protocols such as MQTT, Kafka, HTTP, REST, and OPCUA. Have experience in system integration and cloud computing (e.g. Azure). Possess strong problem-solving skills and a proactive work approach. Enjoy working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
