The Index Data Acquisition team is responsible for providing a platform to gather and enrich huge amounts of data from internal and external data providers to calculate the Bloomberg Fixed Income indices. **We'll trust you to:** + Take ownership of all aspects of the software development process in collaboration with your teammates in an agile environment + Design well architected systems + Develop high quality, stable and scalable solutions using a test driven approach + Be creative in solving complex problems while understanding the scope and impact of your work + Collaborate closely with our Product counterparts as well as other Engineering teams **You'll need to have:** + 4+ years working with an object-oriented programming language such as Python or C++ A Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, similar field of study or equivalent work experience + Experience with containerization and CI/CD solutions (e.g. Docker, Devise) + A passion for automating manual processes + A passion to learn about finance (previous experience is a bonus – but if not, we’ll teach you) + Flexible problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with peers, partners and management + Excellent communication skills and the ability to adjust the degree of detail to the target audience **We'd love to see:** + Experience working with Python 3, C++17 + A desire to learn new technologies and apply them where appropriate to improve the quality of our software, stability, and processes Salary: 160000,240000,USD,Annual Bloomberg is an equal opportunity employer and we value diversity at our company.
