The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team. This role will be hybrid in LinkedIn's Mountain View, CA campus. The Premium team provides well-tailored Premium-only features to help members achieve their career growth, business expansion, recruiting and more other goals. As a Senior Software Engineer (full stack), you will be responsible for iOS App and backend API development that empower LinkedIn Premium features with best user experience. Your work will directly impact millions of Premium subscribers who contribute billions of revenue impact. Responsibilities: · You will design and execute user-facing features for the native LinkedIn app on iOS devices by leveraging mobile operating system frameworks for multi-threading, persisting data, and managing user experience and graphics across multiple screen sizes. · You will use the latest cutting-edge technologies and libraries suggested by Apple for building responsive native apps for iOS. · You will scale distributed applications, make architectural trade-offs applying synchronous and asynchronous design patterns, write code, and deliver with speediness and quality. · You will develop multi-tier scalable, high-volume performing, and reliable user-centric applications that operate 24x7. · You will produce high quality software that is unit tested, code reviewed, and checked in regularly for continuous integration. · You will provide technical leadership, driving and performing best engineering practices to initiate, plan, and execute large-scale, cross functional, and company-wide critical programs. Identify, leverage, and successfully evangelize opportunities to improve engineering productivity. Basic Qualifications: · BS (or higher, e.g., MS, or PhD) in Computer Science or related technical field involving coding (e.g., physics or mathematics), or equivalent technical experience. · 2+ years of industry experience in software design, development, and algorithm related solutions. · 2+ years programming experience in languages such as Objective-C, Swift, Python, Java, Javascript, C/C++, C#, Ruby Preferred Qualifications: · BS and 5+ years of relevant work experience, MS and 4+ years of relevant work experience, or PhD and 2+ years of relevant work experience. · Experience in designing and building infrastructure and web services at large scale. · Expert knowledge of computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design. · Hands-on technical knowledge and experience with mobile application development (iOS, Android, or other) · Proven coding skills in Objective-C/Swift, Java/Python, and/or knowledge of common network API communication methods (Rest, gRPC, or other). · Experience of building web applications and services with IDEs, ant, junit, etc. · Experience of leveraging AI models in software applications development Suggested Skills: · Mobile Development · API Development · Advanced Programming Skills · Performance Optimization and Scalability LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range for this role is $121,000 - $298,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor. The total compensation package for this position may also include annual performance bonus, stock, benefits and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.
