Purpose of PositionThe Senior Software Engineer is responsible for developing, maintaining, and identifying improvements by planning, implementing, and monitoring software framework solutions.
Tasks and ResponsibilitiesExecute product specification, system design, development and system integration
Develop new product concepts and development, deliver product prototypes
Conduct new technology research, concept specification and design of individual software components
Participate in product and program collaboration
Refactor implementations to standardize on an event driven architecture
Refactor web application and services to be completely stateless and cloud ready
Maintain, configure and improve integration with COTS platforms
Troubleshoot and fix problems and provide root cause analysis in a timely manner
Complete other tasks as required
8+ years in Java 1.8+ development role
5+ years of experience in Spring/SpringBoot
2+ years of experience working with Apache Camel, Kafka, ElasticSearch or similar systems
String knowledge and experience in various forms of testing: unit, integration, end to end.
Strong knowledge on containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming
Strong knowledge of web service models: SOAP, OData, REST
Strong knowledge of GIT
Strong knowledge of Gradle and Apache Maven
Experience with using SQL Server as a backend preferred
