In this role, you'll be contributing as a core developer for the Model Registry and Model Serving features of the open-source Kubeflow project by actively participating in Model Registry and other open-source communities. You will work as part of an evolving development team to rapidly design, secure, build, test, and release model registry capabilities. The role is primarily an individual contributor who collaborates closely with other developers and cross-functional teams. You will need to have a passion for working in open-source communities and for developing reference architectures that integrate Red Hat, open-source, and partner technologies into a cohesive platform.
What you will doContribute to architecture, design, and development of Model Registry project in Kubeflow and OpenShift AI. Understand the needs of other Kubeflow and Red Hat Openshift AI components for features for integrating with Model Registry and implementing them.
Innovate in the MLOps domain by participating in upstream communities such as Kubeflow, Kserve, ml-metadata
Lead the development of new features and solutions for OpenShift AI
Use CI/CD best practices to deliver solutions as productization efforts into OpenShift AI
Present at OpenShift/Kubernetes, and AI/ML-related technology conferences and internally within the AI/ML communities of practice
Mentor and guide other engineers
What you will bringGood Experience with the Go programming language
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker
Demonstrable expertise in Python
Ability to quickly learn and use new tools and technologies
Implementation experience with core AI/ML algorithms and libraries and MLOps
Solid experience with source code management tools such as Git
Excellent system understanding and troubleshooting capabilities
Ability to work on your own in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
Understanding of how Open Source and Free Software communities work
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; fluent English language skills
Nice to HavesWorking experience with other model registry solutions (e.g.: MLFlow, Azure Model Registry) would be a plus
Experience with Kubeflow would be a plus
Knowledge of Prometheus monitoring stack
Experience with C++ would be a plus.
Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or other related discipline
The salary range for this position is $111,260.00 - $183,580.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.Pay Transparency
Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
