About this role:
Gartner is seeking an experienced Senior Software & Analytics Engineer to modernize their financial reporting systems using tools like Microsoft PowerBI, Microsoft SQL Server, and Microsoft Azure Data Factory. This role is hands-on and involves working with business leaders at various levels, designing data flows, and creating reports which drive business value. The ideal candidate should be a self-starter who is an intellectually curious life-long learner with a resilient positive attitude.

What you’ll do:
The candidate will support corporate finance, collaborate with IT colleagues and maintain positive & productive relationships. This role will also be responsible for support of critical business reports and effective communication across broad leadership levels.
What you’ll need:
Candidates should have at least 5+ years of experience in corporate financial systems and a BS in Computer
Science or related fields.
Business Acumen: They must understand core business accounting principles/practices including Accounts Receivable, Credit & Collections, Cash Applications, Accounts Payable, Procurement, General Ledger, etc.
Experience with major accounting software packages or ERPs is strongly desired.
Technical skills needed include:
Developing Python scripts for ETL operations and integrations
Development and maintenance of complex SQL queries using multiple SQL variations (PL/SQL,
T-SQL, etc.).
Development and maintenance of reports using tools like Microsoft PowerBI.
Broad familiarity with cloud technologies such as AWS and Azure is a major plus.

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 100,000 USD - 149,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. Our talent acquisition team will provide the specific opportunity on our bonus or incentive programs to eligible candidates.
