Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Site Reliability to join our team in Chennai, India. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining highly scalable and reliable systems that support our organization's critical infrastructure.

Design and implement scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systemsDevelop and maintain infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform or CloudFormationOptimize system performance, reliability, and security across our cloud environmentsImplement and manage containerization technologies, such as Docker and KubernetesCreate and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery and infrastructure changesDevelop and implement monitoring and alerting solutions to ensure system health and performanceParticipate in on-call rotations and lead incident response effortsCollaborate with development teams to improve application reliability and performanceConduct post-incident reviews and implement measures to prevent future occurrencesStay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in site reliability engineering

QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field3+ years of experience in software engineering or DevOps rolesStrong proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCPExpertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormationExtensive experience with containerization technologies, particularly Docker and KubernetesAdvanced scripting skills in languages such as Python and BashProficiency in implementing and managing monitoring and logging solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack)Experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or GitLab CIStrong knowledge of version control systems, particularly GitAdvanced Linux/Unix systems administration skillsProven track record in designing and implementing scalable, highly available systemsExperience with incident management and on-call rotationsIn-depth understanding of distributed systems and microservices architectureKnowledge of best practices in security, performance optimization, and disaster recoveryExcellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a detail-oriented approachStrong communication and collaboration abilitiesRelevant certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer are a plus
