What does our team do?

We seek a motivated Senior Software Engineer to join our R&D team. Centra Platform builds and maintains complex application and data infrastructure for mission-critical systems. We own key platform components, ensuring scalability, resilience, and longevity.
Our goal is to enhance reliability, drive platform excellence, and deliver solutions that improve customer satisfaction and support Akamai products.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for:

Owning platform initiatives from requirements to delivery. Leading architectural efforts across all product areas.Developing and implementing a unified platform for Centra and Akamai security products, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and scalabilityEnhancing system SLA and resiliency across all areas to improve quality.Writing reliable, efficient, secure, and scalable codeDriving team's technical roadmap and mentor more junior developers.

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

Have extensive experience in E2E design, implementing, and leading execution for large-scale backend and infrastructure projects.Have hands-on experience in backend development using Python, Go, or equivalent languages.Have deep experience in developing data infrastructure, including pipelines, storage solutions, and real-time processing frameworks.Demonstrate understanding of Networking and Network Security, and Operating System software.Have experience developing with Linux based systems as well as Cloud environments.
