Senior Software Program Manager

Autonomous vehicles need a supercomputer on wheels, it's an AI & SW heavy computational challenge. There isn't an off-the-shelf platform which stands up to this challenge, so we are building our own. We need passionate, hard-working and creative people to help use pursue this ambitious project!

The NVIDIA Automotive Software team has a key opening for a Senior Software Program Manager. This group is responsible for the delivery of the core development programs (DRIVE OS) which form the basis for all customer specific programs, the main development context for the generic Automotive development platform as well as new technology bring-up and development. We are looking for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and isn’t afraid to roll-up their sleeves and get their hands dirty. You are a self-starter, with excellent interpersonal skills. You will support our software development teams, drive and track release & automotive safety milestones, handle software postings & communicate the plan across various Business Units!

What you'll be doing:

Drive and track software releases for new hardware or software features.

Lead the software release cycle across development, hardware integration, SQA, and product management.

Define releases, manage features, bug fixes, testing, and documentation.

Manage risks and resolve issues affecting release scope, schedule, and quality.

Collaborate with stakeholders on software issues and technical feedback.

Regularly communicate program status and key issues to management.

Define and manage work packages for external consultants.

Ensure successful deployment of DRIVEOS processes within assigned releases.

Ensure compliance with ISO 26262, ISO 21434, and ASPICE best practices.

Contribute to the development of DRIVEOS execution processes.

What we need to see:

10+ years leading automotive software engineering projects.

BS/MS in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.

Expertise in ASPICE and ISO 26262 safety standards.

Strong knowledge of Automotive SW development KPIs.

Proficient in Configuration and Change Management.

Excellent communication and technical presentation skills.

Led global projects and successful releases with short cadences.

Proven strategic thinker with the ability to build consensus.

Innovative problem solver for technical issues and resource conflicts.

Delivered complex products to customers on time.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

ASPICE assessment experience for MAN process areas or ISO 26262 assessment experience.

Previous experience as an Automotive software developer, enabling effective team mentorship.

Proficient with Jira and/or Jama, with the ability to train engineering teams.

Hands-on experience with scripting (Python, Google Scripts/JavaScript, REST APIs, Google Sheets).

Strong understanding of software engineering principles.

The base salary range is 156,000 USD - 299,000 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
