Senior Software QA Developer (SaaS)

Job Description:

Responsible for the quality assurance of specific SaaS product features, including Cloud WAF, GLSB, and ABP modules. This role also involves establishing an efficient automation testing process to cover the majority of testing requirements.

 

Responsibilities:

  •  Design and execute test cases for functional modules.

  •  Develop and maintain automated test scripts.

  •  Collaborate closely with developers to identify, track, and resolve defects.

  •  Work with support teams to analyze and address customer-reported issues.

  •  Review user guides and deployment documentation to ensure accuracy and clarity.

 

Required Skills:

  •  Experience: 5+ years of relevant work experience.

  •  Networking Knowledge: Strong understanding of TCP/IP, Routing, Switching, and L7 application protocols (e.g., DNS, HTTP/HTTPS).

  •  Cybersecurity Expertise: Familiarity with technologies such as WAF, API Security, Bot Protection, UEBA, and device fingerprinting is preferred.

  •  Cloud and Virtualization: Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).

  •  Programming Skills: Proficiency in Python, Shell, JavaScript, or Go. Experience with frameworks like Robot Framework is a plus.

  •  QA Methodology: Solid understanding of QA processes, testing methodologies, and software development best practices.

  •  Testing Tools: Proficiency in using traffic load and protocol testing tools, including Linux utilities or commercial testing equipment.

  •  Analytical Skills: Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

  •  Personal Traits: Highly motivated, responsible, quick learner, and an excellent team player.

 

Education:

  •  Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.

The Canada base salary range for this full-time position is expected to be between $80,000 - $110,000 annually.  Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labour market, job type, and job level.  Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate’s subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, and experience.
