The Red Hat OpenShift QE team is looking for a Senior Software Quality Engineer to join us. In this role, you will work on Red Hat’s OpenShift product and the related technologies. You'll be responsible for all aspects of quality for Red Hat OpenShift, including designing test plans, extending automation frameworks, and developing new automated tests. You will make sure our product fulfills the highest possible enterprise quality, performance, usability, and supportability. As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will gain a deep technical understanding of a variety of popular technologies, including containers, Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift, etc.

What you will do:
Proactively research new features and create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans, test cases, and test reports to ensure thorough test coverage, with a focus on left-shifting testing to identify and address issues early in the development cycle.
Execute manual and automated tests for functional, integration, regression, performance and scalability tests, analyze test results and deliver clear test status in a timely manner.
Design, develop and maintain test automation framework and scripts using Golang.Develop and maintain OpenShift CI for Hive/CCO using Prow CI. Ensure and improve test efficiency and effectiveness.
Work in a fast paced environment, be goal-oriented. Proactively communicates with multiple stakeholders across teams to implement new ideas and improvements. Closely join meeting with Hive/CCO Developers;
Explore, identify and document new bugs, leveraging left-shift testing methods to verify and reproduce bugs proactively. Advocate for the resolution of bugs and communicate findings and customer impact to developers and support
Oversee potential problems and devise mechanisms to solve them timely.
Act as an expert in the area of your project and support customer issues.
Actively suggest and implement continuous improvement in the workflow.
Work in a global team, embrace diversity and culture differences.
Share Knowledge with team members
Provide mentoring and leadership to junior Quality Engineers.
Continuously learn and stay up-to-date with current technologies and industry trends.
What you will bring:
Experience working as a Software Quality Engineer.
Experienced in at least one object-oriented programming language (Golang preferred).
Experienced in Bash shell.
Rich experience in maintaining and resolving issues under Linux.
Persistent in troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
Familiar with agile testing methodologies and techniques.
Familiar with Kubernetes and Containers.
Proven written and spoken English skills.
Ability to collaborate closely with team members, work effectively with remote, cross-functional teams and different time zones
The following is considered a plus:
Knowledge with OpenShift is a big plus.
Knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud or Bare Metal.
Knowledge of CI/CD (Prow CI) and Jenkins
Knowledge of security testing / Chaos testing
Good presentation skills. Can give presentations in global conferences like KubeConf, DevConf.
