Job Description:

The Group Functions Technology team is currently hiring for Senior Software Technical Analysts to help support (2) teams - Actuarial/Reinsurance and Finance/Treasury.

The Senior Software Technical Analyst (Actuarial & Reinsurance) team will be responsible for supporting the Asia TAI Reinsurance application. We are looking for someone with strong business analysis skills and solid operational & vendor management experience to support the enhancement requirements, non-production and production fixes of the application. The candidate must have strong interpersonal skills, working with stakeholders and support teams across the globe.

As for the Senior Software Technical Analyst (Finance & Treasury Systems), the team will work together with the Finance & Treasury Systems team that manages a complex SOX compliant infrastructure with many inter-related components that provide the repository of financial information required to support the Source of Earnings and other general ledger financial reporting at MFC. They will also support the Enterprise-wide critical cash management and treasury solutions including the banking interfaces.

Key Responsibilities (Actuarial & Reinsurance):

Support non-production and Production operations and fixesWork with offshore support team and vendor to implement fixes and changesCater to the requirements for enhancement and changes from businessParticipate in meetings with both onshore and offshore to ensure clarity of individual objectives, priorities, and solutions for barriers to progressParticipate actively in the projects and prioritization discussions with businessReport to and work with the TAI Senior Business Analyst on the tasks at handCoordinate work tasks with Vendor to ensure changes are delivered successfully and on timeSchedule may rotate between Asia, Mid or North America time - to adjust to meet with the global team and support weekend work for deployments or production requirements.

Key Responsibilities (Finance & Treasury):

Manage team level and technical escalations during shift & weekend operations. Work with shift leaders and Operations Lead towards resolution.Work with other shift leaders to ensure seamless handovers for overall end-to-end delivery.Perform technical leadership duties (subject matter expert for select applications) and have end-to-end technical understanding of the supported systems.Collaborate with Finance & Treasury business team and stakeholders to uncover pain points and opportunities to accelerate the delivery of new business value through software, infrastructure, and services.Effectively support Manulife’s complex Finance & Treasury systems and enhance existing processes for financial reporting in a large dynamic client server & intranet web environment.Maintain and support these delivery services, with accountability for production reliability and usage, and the delivery of new functionality.Support non-production and production operations and fixes.Work with support teams and vendor to implement fixes and changes.Work on a rotating schedule, with flexibility to adjust to meet with the global team and support weekend deployments or production requirements.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or any related course3-5 years of experience with at least 3 of the following:ETL (Informatica)Batch scheduling tools (CAWLA, CA, CTRL-M)Relational Database (SQL/Oracle)Unix and Unix scriptingMicrosoft Azure and Azure Data LakeReporting (PowerBI / Qlikview)Oracle Hyperion EssbaseJAVAPythonJira / ConfluenceWindows PowershellBitmapAmenable to work in UP Ayala Technohub (Quezon City)Amenable to work on a hybrid set-up (3x a week onsite)Amenable to work in any shift schedule assigned (day/mid/night; flexible depending on business need)

Actuarial & Reinsurance:

Knowledge and application of change & release management, ITIL4 & project management, including cost assessmentFamiliarity with agile principles, test-driven development, continuous integration, and other approaches to accelerate the delivery of new featuresUnderstanding of software development lifecycle

Finance & Treasury:

Experience with agile and DevOps principles, test-driven development, continuous integration, and other approaches to accelerate the delivery of new featuresFamiliarity with ITIL4 Framework and ServiceNow platformExperience in supporting ERP tools (e.g. Infor Lawson, SAP)Working knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins etc.Working knowledge of FTP processes and network interfaces, HTML, XML, and industry standard parsers.A capacity for constant learning from both success and failure, remaining open to change and continuous improvement.
