The Opportunity

The Senior Software Technical Analyst will be responsible for supporting the Asia TAI Reinsurance application. We are looking for someone with strong business analysis skills and solid operational & vendor management experience to support the enhancement requirements, non-production and production fixes of the application. The candidate must have strong interpersonal skills, working with stakeholders and support teams across the globe.

We are looking for someone with:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or any related courseExperience in operations management & vendor management, working with stakeholders and support teams across the globe.Solid technical background in SQL DB, .net infrastructure, batch scheduling, MS AzureKnowledge in Python is a plusKnowledge and application of change & release management, ITIL4 & project management, including cost assessmentFamiliarity with agile principles, test-driven development, continuous integration, and other approaches to accelerate the delivery of new featuresUnderstanding of software development lifecycleUnderstanding of how technology supports Manulife business strategyStrong working knowledge of key aspects of roleStaying abreast of developments in own technical discipline and able to recognize and translate these to own working environmentSees actions as a series of linked stepsUnderstands informal structure, company culture, cooperation & information sharing within the companyCollaborative attitude, willingness to work with team members; able to coach, share skills and methodsConstantly learns from both success and failureGood organizational and problem-solving abilities that enable you to manage through creative abrasionGood verbal and written communication; able to effectively articulate technical vision, possibilities, and outcomesExperiments with emerging technologies and understanding how they will impact what comes next.

On the job you will:

Support non-production and Production operations and fixesWork with offshore support team and vendor to implement fixes and changesCater to the requirements for enhancement and changes from businessParticipate in meetings with both onshore and offshore to ensure clarity of individual objectives, priorities, and solutions for barriers to progressParticipate actively in the projects and prioritization discussions with businessReport to and work with the TAI Senior Business Analyst on the tasks at handCoordinate work tasks with Vendor to ensure changes are delivered successfully and on timeSchedule may rotate between Asia, Mid or North America time - to adjust to meet with the global team and support weekend work for deployments or production requirements.
